Thanks to for agreeing to pause plan to sweep hundreds of critical natural resource protection positions, 55 would be Wildlife Officer positions. We appreciate Sen Catherine Blakespear and Asm Damon Connolly and 20+ of their colleagues for sharing our concerns and we call on to concur. Please reach out to Governor Newsome and tell him you do not want warden positions to be cut.

Please read the link below regarding one of our Lieutanants. Kaleb is truly one of kindest people I have ever known!.

In early December 2024, Kaleb came down with an illness, not unexpected during the winter months. After a couple of weeks, the sickness did not improve, and he began to experience neurological issues such as loss of balance, slurred speech, and loss of motor control.

This is a retired warden from our agency who is in need of a kidney transplant. Please read and share.

You may not know, but I have a hereditary kidney disease called Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD) and require an O kidney transplant. My wife, daughter, and two living cousins are not O, and although O can donate a kidney to any blood type, O can only accept an O kidney. Cynthia has signed up for the Paired Kidney Exchange.
At 63, I have been able to extend my kidney function by eating a low protein diet and continuing to work out, whereas my father died of PKD in his early 50s and my grandfather even earlier – on March 3, 2025 my kidney function loss required dialysis – which is debilitating.
I have been fortunate to have lived a life of law enforcement service to Californians as a State Park Lifeguard and Ranger, and Fish & Game Warden in Santa Cruz and Mendocino counties.
I wanted to let you know about my need and would be very grateful if you shared my story. 90% of living donor kidney donations come from people sharing the Recipient’s Need. Please share my story.
