Did you know, Sonora Smart Dodd got the idea to honor fathers in 1919. Dodd's mother died in childbirth, she and her siblings were raised by their father. Today's storytime theme was Father's Day. During pre-K storytime, we read the book A Perfect Father's Day by Bunting, and the children made cards for their fathers.πŸŽ©πŸŽ©πŸŽ©πŸŽ©πŸ“šπŸ“š

On behalf of the Friends of the Raymond Library, we would like to express our deepest thanks to InnaTuba for the incredible generosity. Your contribution to the Friends will have a significant impact on the library. Your contribution will directly support our goal to help children's reading initiatives for those who suffer from various neurodiversity problems, like ADHA, dyslexia and autism. Once again, thanks, InnerTuba's for your dedication to promote literacy, education, and access to knowledge is commendable. With heartfelt appreciation, The Friends of the Raymond Library.

In honor of Memorial Day and all the heroes who give their lives to keep our country safe. We invited Army National Guardsmen, First Sgt. Casey Thornton and Sgt. Jobe to join us for storytime at the Raymond Public Library. The children presented First Sgt. Casey Thornton and Sgt. Jobe with poster size thank you cards they made to thank them for their service. The children enjoy the stories, Memorial Day and What Does It Mean to Be an American, read by First Sgt Casey Thornton and Sgt Jobe.
The Raymond Public Library offers storytime every Friday at 10am- 11am.πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ
