Never count the buffaloes out!

Hi, all. I wanted to post one last official message now that the course timeline has been completed. Just this past week I turned in the last of the completed tickets to council (completed before the deadline, but I needed time to gather the actual tickets, write up the cover sheet, copy and get them mailed in). We ended with 28 out of 30 completing their tickets. Each and every ticket was as unique as the individuals working them. There were so many wonderful accomplishments, and they continue ongoing. The youth of PTC are lucky to have you! We still have seven who have not held their beading ceremonies, so we aren't quite done yet! I am honored to have been a part of this journey with you. As we close this chapter, another begins for Wood Badge in Pine Tree Council. Please take whatever opportunity that presents itself to tell your story and promote the new course being offered this fall. It has been a pleasure working with you and I look forward to future endeavors. Back to Gilwell, your Scoutmaster, Kelly

Impressive ceremony yesterday at University of Scouting as 8 participants were beaded (including the entire Bear patrol). The Gilwell song was incredible! Still some work to be done. Five participants holding out til the 11th hour! Bob got some deposits for N1-218-15 after the ceremony. Feeling good about the Woodbadge momentum. Back to Gilwell, Happy Land...

Not sure how many have already heard...Rick was the QM for our course; keep him and his family in your thoughts as you each converse with your Higher Powers...

Please keep our District Chairman Rick Denico and his wife in your prayers. They were in a serious snowmobile accident last night in Jackman. His wife was banged up. Rick was in surgery for several broken bones. Both will recover but Rick will be in the hospital several days.

Eagles fly high! Congratulations to Mark Woodruff on celebrating his beading ceremony last night at Troop 349/Buxton's Court of Honor! And a BIG thank you to fellow Eagle Brian Hebert and Course Director/Scoutmaster Kelly Pillsbury for coming all the way down from K-Valley to share the celebration.

Another Woodbadger receives his beads. Congratulations to Tim Guerrette who celebrated with a ceremony during the cub scout break out session of York District roundtable this past Thursday. It was my privilege to be there. Every ceremony has been as unique as the individual, but all bring back the warm memories of those six days spent together with committed scouters. Congratulations, Tim! Well done, well deserved.

First Bobwhite of the course gets their beads! Congrats to Tim Guerrette, and a BIG thanks to Kelly for coming all the way down to his ceremony!

On Sunday, Leah took a few moments out of her busy schedule to let us honor her with her beads. It was a beautiful fall day...and I hit the log with the axe! :)

Next up Leah and Randy. Every ceremony is a unique as the recipient!

Congrats to the two newly beaded Wood Badgers! Andrew Rueger received his on Wednesday at the Casco Bay Roundtable, and Sherry Lord received hers last night (Thursday) at the York District Roundtable! Keep working your tickets!
