Today, our President Jeff Riley and Outreach Coordinator Mike Tello drove to Andover NH and had the pleasure of meeting Tom.

Tom was a medic in the Army from 1968-1971 before becoming a renowned local artist.

This handshake represents our promise to another veteran. A promise to ensure Tom can remain in his home. A promise to stand with Tom over the next few months.

More details will follow, but as an organization we have always made it clear. We will always put our money where our mouth is, we will always show up for our veterans, and we will always answer the call.

🇺🇸 ON THIS DAY — SEPTEMBER 3, 1777 🇺🇸

249 years ago today, American soldiers went into battle beneath a new symbol of a new nation.

At the Battle of Cooch’s Bridge in Delaware, the Stars and Stripes is traditionally believed to have been carried into battle for the first time in American history. Just months earlier, on June 14, 1777, the Continental Congress had officially adopted the flag of the United States.

That flag would go on to follow generations of Americans onto battlefields around the world — and come home with those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

249 years later, it still represents the same extraordinary idea: a nation worth defending.

Today, we remember those first Patriots who fought beneath it — and every American service member who has carried it since.

🎄🎁 IT’S OFFICIAL — WE HAVE A HOME FOR THE SALUTE THE YOUTH TOY DRIVE! 🎁🎄

We have been working behind the scenes, and we are SO excited to finally announce where New Hampshire families will join us for this year’s Salute the Youth Toy Drive!

🕖 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

This is the day all of those collection boxes, Fill-A-Truck events, business partners, volunteers and incredibly generous donors are working toward. ❤️

Our goal this year is to help 300 New Hampshire families and provide toys for children Birth–12 years old. And we cannot WAIT to see this space filled with Christmas magic. 🎄🎅🎁

🚨 IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR FAMILIES SEEKING ASSISTANCE

The application for Christmas assistance will be published soon. Please keep watch of our website sttfoundation.org

Submitting an application does NOT guarantee assistance.

Due to the number of families we anticipate applying and the resources available, ONLY families who receive an official confirmation email directly from Salute the Troops Foundation will be eligible to receive assistance at the Toy Drive.

Please do not arrive at the event unless you have received that confirmation email from us directly. Do not respond to spam posts here, we will not contact you via facebook!!!

More information — including the application, eligibility details and instructions — will be released soon, so please continue following our page for official updates.

We do not deliver toys, provide uber rides or hold toys. If you apply and receive acknowledgement email, please make appropriate arrangements for day of pick up. Instructions for this will be included in approval email.

SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL SU***DE PREVENTION MONTH. 💙

This month is about more than awareness. It’s about making sure people know they are seen, heard, and never have to fight their darkest battles alone.
For our veterans, service members, first responders, families—and every person struggling silently—we need to keep having the conversations that are sometimes the hardest to have.
Ask the question.
Make the phone call.
Send the text.
Sit with someone.
Listen without judgment.
And most importantly, don’t let the conversation end when September does.
Su***de prevention is something we need to carry with us 365 days a year. We can reduce the stigma surrounding mental health, normalize asking for help, and remind one another that reaching out is a sign of strength.
At Salute the Troops Foundation, our mission has always been about turning Compassion to Action. Sometimes that action is financial assistance. Sometimes it’s bringing a community together. And sometimes it’s simply making sure someone knows they matter enough for us to stay.

🇺🇸 HONORING THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS RESERVE 🇺🇸

Today, we recognize Marine Corps Reserve Day and the men and women who have answered the call to serve while also balancing careers, families, and lives here at home.

Since the Marine Corps Reserve was established in 1916, Reserve Marines have stood ready to step forward whenever our nation needed them — serving alongside active-duty Marines in conflicts, humanitarian missions, disaster response, and operations around the world.

They may be called Reserve, but their commitment is anything but part-time.

To every Marine Corps Reservist — past and present — and to the families who stand behind them:

We see you. We honor you. And we thank you for your service and sacrifice. ❤️🤍💙

The Salute the Youth Toy Drive is officially underway, and this year our goal is to help 300 New Hampshire families have a brighter Christmas. ❤️

We’re collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED TOYS for children Birth–12, and we need our community to help us make it happen!

But there is ONE date we really want you to circle…

🚨🚛 NOVEMBER 28TH — FILL A TRUCK DAY!!! 🚛🚨

Not a table.

WE WANT TO FILL A WHOLE TRUCK WITH TOYS. 🎁🎁🎁🎁

And we’re doing it at TWO LOCATIONS AT THE SAME TIME!

Bring a Barbie. Bring a basketball. Bring LEGO. Bring trucks, dolls, games, stuffed animals, art supplies — whatever will make a NH kid light up on Christmas morning. 🎅❤️
