"Respect for Others means to accept and appreciate everyone around you regardless of their identity, abilities, or beliefs. I see Respect for Others at Camp when cabinmates come together to learn about each other’s traditions and culture. For example, I have learned card games from Europe and songs in Spanish and French. The 2026 season culminated with lots of meaningful moments and special celebrations. Iy also ended with lots of emotions. It’s hard to say goodbye to the friends who became like family and the peaceful spot on Sebago’s cove, which became your second home. The wonderful thing is “friendship gives wings to the heart”. All that you’ve experienced - the challenges faced, the lessons learned, the friendships formed, the new skills, the appreciation of all that’s around you, the belief in yourself…you don’t leave that behind. We hope you take the time to reflect on all those things and carry them forward into all that you do for the next 10 months! As the song says: “It’s not goodbye we say….it’s so long, we’ll see you again, we’ll see you again some day!” 💙🧡💙🧡
