Congratulations to Rev. Jason Elliott and First Westminster Presbyterian Church for receiving a Valley Hospice Community Dove Award!
In February, we experienced a devastating loss at our Central Administrative Office. Due to a malfunction in our fire suppression system, water poured through the ceilings in the middle of the night, causing extensive and widespread damage.
We had to completely vacate the building and quickly found ourselves in need of office space, storage space, and meeting space for our employees while repairs took place. Rev. Elliott did not hesitate. He opened the doors of First West Presbyterian Church and provided our employees who serve our northern service area with a place to meet, work, and store supplies.
There are no words to express how grateful we are for the kindness and generosity shown to us by Rev. Elliott and First West Presbyterian Church. In the middle of a disaster, they were there for usāproviding a place to work, but more importantly, being the friends and neighbors we could lean on when we needed them the most. Thank you, Rev. Elliott and First West Presbyterian Church, for being there when we needed you. Your compassion and generosity will never be forgotten.
The Dove Award is a long-standing tradition at Valley Hospice. Employees nominate their peers based on commitment to our company values: Teamwork, Integrity, Performance, Spirituality, Mission Focus and Engagement. The Community Dove Award is a special recognition for members of the community who have gone above and beyond for Valley Hospice patients, families and staff.
