Our goal is to replace our old, outdated playground equipment with a magically musical garden yard! And we have already started preparing for the project!

🌼 Melody Meadow Will Include:
• Outdoor musical instruments
• Raised garden beds & a child‑sized potting shed used for supplies/dramatic play
• A vine house with seating
• Sensory play elements like stepping stumps & balance beams

🌿 Why It Matters:
Children learn responsibility, empathy, sustainability, and confidence through hands‑on exploration. Melody Meadow will give them a beautiful space to grow, create, and connect with the natural world every day.

We’re thrilled to share that we’ve received a $12,000 grant from the Adirondack Community Foundation to build Melody Meadow, our music‑and‑garden outdoor learning yard for young children. To bring the full vision to life, we’re raising the final $12,000 — and we’re inviting our community to help us finish strong. As a nonprofit organization, we depend on the generosity of our community to bring projects like this to life.

At Tendercare, it is believed that children learn most effectively through play and exploration, particularly when interacting with the vibrant, ever-changing natural world around them. The center is situated within a woodland setting, featuring four different play yards to facilitate this belief. Providing various outdoor activities and experiential learning opportunities centered on nature.
