Representatives from the Fund for Ravenswood and the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation awarded $104,420 through 13 grants to local nonprofits during our Fall 2025 ceremony at First United Methodist Church in Ravenswood. Weβre pleased to support the organizations and volunteers who make Ravenswood stronger every day!
π Community Action Grant Recipients
β’ Ravenswood Board of Parks & Recreation β $9,000 for a shade shelter at Veteranβs Park playground
β’ City of Ravenswood WV β $16,000 for operating support for the OnTrac Program (Downtown Ravenswood Partners)
β’ FARMacy WV: Prescriptions for Produce β $13,820 for FARMacy programs in Jackson & Doddridge Counties
β’ Hope House Ministries Inc. β $10,000 for operating support
β’ The Pilot Club of Jackson County β $10,000 for dental care for Ravenswood residents
β’ Read Aloud West Virginia β $11,600 to expand classroom readers & provide book bundles
β’ Ravenswood High School β up to $20,000 matching grant for creation of a new student courtyard
β’ Sleep in Heavenly Peace - WV, Jackson Co β $5,000 to build and deliver 15 fully furnished beds for local children

β’ Ravenswood High School Boys Basketball Team β $1,000 in recognition of Coach Price
β’ Ravenswood High School Girls Basketball Team β $1,000 in recognition of Coach Varney

β’ Ravenswood Adopt-A-Family Program β $3,000 for holiday assistance
β’ Operation Fancy Free Inc. β $3,000 recognizing Kathy and Brian Stoneβs volunteer efforts
These grants empower organizations and volunteers who are creating lasting, positive change in Ravenswood. Since 2019, the Fund for Ravenswood has invested $782,677 into projects that uplift our community. π
