The city super has planted the last of the greenhouse flowers today! Woot! Things are vibrant in the parks. Pictured are white phlox with lucifer's tongue, vibrant pink plants at the park kiosk, and a new perrenial soon to be bloom--blackberry iris. The pink vinca was chosen in honor of Maci Mosser, a former co op who loves this shade of pink. It's been an outstanding performer and we will plant more of this next spring. How much did all of this cost you ask? Outide of the perrenials planted years past...$1.43. Enjoy your parks!

Last year, a sudden storm flattened most all of the sunflowers at Riverfront Park. I vowed, I'll never plant them again! But then these volunteer plants seeded themselves and I decided to stake them. Who doesn't love a sunflower? Featured in these photos are butterfly w**d, lucifer's tongue (Crocosmia) , and tall, staked sunflowers. ;)

BOPARC Super, Katrena Ramsey and City of Ravenswood WV maintainence employee Gavin Slaven completed an overhaul of a city hall flower bed. The three plants in the middle are red luna hibiscus (perrenial) surrounded by vinca, canna, and celosia. All plants were grown in our BOPARC greenhouse. Then they headed on down to brighten up the welcome to Ravenswood sign. The rest area at the playground has done its own thing. Bees are buzzing the self seeded liatris with cone flowers.
