Our Mahoning Valley were celebrated last week at their annual recognition luncheon. Under the direction of Coordinator Fran Comstock and featuring a theme of "Volunteers are the Recipe to Success," our wonderful volunteers and Advisory Board members enjoyed a catered lunch, entertainment by the Liberty High School Show Choir, and thank you gifts for all they do. As a bonus, each volunteer shared a treasured recipe that will be made into a cookbook!

We are so thankful that our volunteers had the opportunity to talk about community engagement and the importance of connections! In December, we celebrated the retirement of Clyde Louise Adams, who devoted nearly 20 years as a Foster Grandparent serving children in Ravenna. Her kindness, consistency, and care have left a lasting mark on so many young lives.

Clyde’s years of service were honored with a joyful celebration and special commendations from Senator Jon Husted, Rep. Dave Joyce, and Senator Bernie Moreno. It was a wonderful reminder of just how deeply one person’s dedication can shape a community.

Congratulations on your retirement, Clyde — and thank you for all you’ve given. 🌟
