On June 5th, you can swing by the Bean and the Baker for a cup of coffee and learn more about Big Brothers Big Sisters in the morning, and you can stop by our open house for our new Ravenna health center at 771 N Freedom St starting at 4PM!

On Friday, June 5th, we will be tabling at the Bean and the Baker in Ravenna from 9AM - 12PM! Be sure to stop by, say hi, and meet with us to discuss mentorship and supporting our local youth.

The results are in! 🎉
2026 gave us another successful Hunger Challenge, but a big congratulations goes to Ravenna Center of Hope for bringing in the most food and funds in April!

Thank you to everyone who gave so generously this year, your impact truly makes a difference! Together, you collected an incredible 19,215 food items and a whopping $90,073.16 in monetary donations, surpassing last year’s totals by a wide margin!
Your compassion for your neighbors does not go unnoticed. Because of you, Portage County continues to grow stronger, healthier, and more supported.

We can’t wait to see what next year brings! In the meantime, if you’d like to keep making a difference, Ravenna Center of Hope and Kent Social Services welcome support all year long.

My Brother's Keeper Portage, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Eastern OH & Western PA, and Portage County Early Intervention attended Portage County Job and Family Services' Family Fun Day on May 16th!

TOMORROW is Portage County Early Intervention's Family Fun Day! If you have a 0-3-year old child, there's no better opportunity to play around and ask questions about their development - it's a free event!

We will have a balloon artist, snacks, giveaways, touch-a-truck, crafts, and a sensory room available. We hope to see you at 2500 Brady Lake Rd in Ravenna!
