The Portage County Clothing Center was named in memory of Phyllis Zumkehr. Survived by her husband, Charlie, the family has made significant contributions to establish and run the center. Zumkehr felt the organization represented a meaningful way to celebrate the memory of her life. He continues to support the center as it grows and serves the community. We help to serve around 3,000 individuals a

nd families a month, and we provide individuals and families with clothing, household items and appliances. The center also has a focus on protecting the environment by keeping these nice items out of the garbage. 215 tons of clothing is diverted from landfills each year.
