Calling Passionate Individuals: Join My Success Networking Team for Sunshine's All Abilities!

I'm incredibly excited to share a significant step forward in bringing Sunshine's All Abilities to life right here in Portage County! For those who don't know, Sunshine's All Abilities will be a vibrant, inclusive center dedicated to providing therapeutic, recreational, and educational services for individuals of all abilities. Our mission is to empower everyone to reach their full potential, promoting independence, well-being, and community engagement.

To turn this vision into a reality, I'm building a dedicated Success Networking Team (SNT), and I'm looking for a few key individuals to join this crucial initial phase. Our immediate SMART goal is ambitious yet achievable: to secure $100,000 in initial funding and identify, lease/purchase, and begin accessibility modifications on our future facility in Portage County by July 18, 2026.

This isn't just about starting a business; it's about creating a vital resource that our community desperately needs. If you have specific skills and a passion for making a tangible difference, I'd love to talk to you.

I'm seeking individuals for the following volunteer roles:

* Grant & Funding Researcher: Are you meticulous and great at finding opportunities? Help us identify and explore grant possibilities to secure foundational funding.

* Facilities & Logistics Liaison: Do you have a knack for practical problem-solving and an eye for properties? Assist us in finding and assessing the perfect accessible location for our center.

* Community Networker & Advocate: Are you well-connected and passionate about building relationships? Help us foster vital connections with local leaders and organizations.

* Financial Estimator & Resource Identifier: Are you analytical and good with numbers? Support us in refining financial projections and identifying diverse funding streams.

* Communications & Outreach Support: Do you excel at clear, compelling communication? Help us craft our message and build early community awareness.

* Accountability Partner & Organizer: Are you highly organized and a natural motivator? Keep our team on track, manage meeting agendas, and celebrate our progress.

Each of these roles is critical to laying the groundwork for Sunshine's All Abilities to thrive and serve our community. Your commitment would involve focused, collaborative effort towards this specific goal, with regular check-ins.
If you're interested in contributing your talents to this meaningful project and helping us empower individuals of all abilities, please send me a direct message! I'm eager to discuss how your skills can help us achieve this exciting goal.
Thank you for considering being a part of something truly special.

**Daycare vs. ABA Clinic: Similar but Very Different**

At first glance, an ABA clinic and a daycare might appear alike—they both have toys, play areas, snack times, and lots of energetic kids. However, it's important not to be misled by their similarities. One is designed for general care, while the other focuses on clinical intervention.

Daycare provides a safe, nurturing environment aimed at supervision and overall development.

In contrast, ABA clinics are structured treatment settings guided by scientific principles, data, and individualized goals to modify socially significant behaviors.

Yes, both may play the "Clean-Up Song," but only one collects frequency data on task completion.

The challenge arises when the differences become blurred, which is a significant concern. ABA is a healthcare service, not a babysitting service. It requires qualified staff, meaningful objectives, ongoing supervision, and ethical decision-making.

As providers, we must hold ourselves and our organizations accountable.

More hours do not equal better outcomes.

A full schedule does not guarantee full progress.

Parents deserve quality care, not just hours filled with activities.

Let’s stop confusing access with excellence.

Let’s advocate for intentional care instead of simply logging more hours on a timesheet.

What steps are YOU taking to ensure that therapy remains therapy—and not just an expensive form of childcare? Designed for general care, while the other focuses on clinical intervention.
