Finally took a trip to Headlands to see the portion of Mobi-Mat that was donated by Nancy's Path. Again, this couldn't have been done without the support of so many wonderful people! It was great to see that they still have it ADA accessible this late in the year. Beautiful day at a beautiful beach!

At this time, with much thought and consideration, we have decided that our mission is complete. We will continue to keep our website and page active so that we can continue to share our story and continue to bring awareness to others about ALS. We will not be accepting donations any longer, but we encourage you to support other organizations that share the same vision of making life a little less complicated for those who are affected by ALS or have mobility issues. Please consider supporting I AM ALS or Live Like Lou Foundation.

Thank you Gary Gerrone at Geneva State Park and thank you Jessica and Ron at Halliday's Winery. You believed in us and in our vision and helped us bring it to fruition. We will forever be grateful and treasure the friendship and support.

Our family thanks EVERYONE from the bottom of our hearts! Your generosity, friendship and support helped make a difference in the lives of others.

We know that our mom, Nancy Shaner Conners would be very proud and honored to have her legacy live on through Nancy's Path. We know she's out there finding all the best pieces of beach glass on the most beautiful shores of Heaven.

ALS doesn’t take a break, and neither will we. Let's raise awareness, inspire action, and leave ALS better than we found it. 💙

ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that takes away the ability to walk, talk, eat, and eventually breathe. At Live Like Lou, we are committed to supporting families, funding research, and raising ALS awareness.

On this , we recognize the impact of ALS, a rare and devastating neurological disease that affects thousands every year. While ALS is classified as rare, it's not rare in the hearts of those living with the disease. With over 6,000 new diagnoses annually in the United States, ALS is a reminder that we need more funding for research, better access to treatments, and most importantly, a cure.

ALS is not incurable—it’s underfunded.

To the entire ALS community—you are seen, you are heard, and we are fighting for you. 💙

If you or a loved one are living with ALS or was taken too soon by this horrible disease, there is still time to be honored on one of these flags.

I AM ALS plants 6,000 flags on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. each year to honor and remember loved ones, raise awareness for ALS, and inspire action for the ALS community. Each flag bears the name of someone living with ALS, carrying a related gene, or who has passed away from the disease. This is a great way to be honored or honor a loved one.

If you would like to add your or your loved one’s name and information to a flag, use this link: https://www.iamals.org/flag2025

Did you know that if you or someone you love has mobility issues, you have accessibility to a beach wheelchair at Geneva State Park Breakwater Beach and Headlands Beach State Park ? All you need to do is reach out to the wonderful staff at the park office and they will get you all set! Not sure of the exact model, but very similar to the picture posted. EVERYONE is entitled to a beautiful day at the beach!

Headlands Beach State Park is a MASSIVE 35 acre beach located along the shore of Lake Erie in Mentor, Ohio. Nancy's Path is beyond excited to announce that through donations, fundraising efforts and the generosity of our friends, family and community we ordered two 50 foot Mobi-mats that will be donated to this beautiful beach owned by the Ohio Department of Natural Resources and managed by our dear friend Gary Gerrone. Looking forward to a spring installation and dedication. This is just putting a dent in the amount of mat that is needed for this beach, but it is a start and we are proud of the fact that again, because of YOU, we are making a difference and helping to eliminate obstacles that prohibit many from being able to enjoy our beautiful Ohio State Parks. Stay tuned for more information and for the 2025 fundraising events!
