DO YOU WANT FROGMAN TO REPRESENT OHIO? When our state faces real problems, our politicians do the logical thing: pass bills for imaginary monsters. But here at The Pulse, we embrace the bizarre. Ohio is officially on its way to making the giant "Loveland Frogman" the state’s first official cryptid. A "cryptid" is just a fancy word for a creature that does not exist. Kind of like a politician who - (you finish the joke).

Anyway, why is this happening? We don't need logic, we have folklore. The entire legend is built on two hilariously shaky stories.

The 1955 Sparkler: A businessman claimed he saw three giant frogs by the river. He insisted one waved a magic wand that shot sparks. Magic wand? I'll have what he's having.

Second sighting: 1972: Two police officers saw a hairless beast weeks apart. One actually shot at it, though he later admitted it was probably just a runaway pet iguana.

So this is brief recap of what is behind the house bill. Sorry, Bigfoot. The frogs have better lobbyists. Keep an eye out for House Bill 821, coming soon to a swamp near you.
