We have had a lot of exciting things happening since we have last updated! We recently partnered with New Life Fellowship. We had the opportunity to share the Gospel in Benin Africa. Benin is in the 10/40 window. While Benin has a Christian majority, several of its ethnic groups remain unreached with the gospel, making the country, as a whole, a mix of reached and unreached populations. Approximately 18.7% of Benin’s population belongs to unreached people groups and 11 of its 62 total people groups are considered unreached. Voodoo is a spiritual stronghold among many people groups in Benin. We were able to partner with New Life Fellowship and send a team into Benin, serving 8 orphanages in the area. Open wells with no filter system have caused severe issues with contamination of water born illnesses. The Mercy Water filters provided an open door to reach the unreached. In one such village that is 100% voodoo, the locals were very happy to take the water filters. That is until they realized the team was spreading the gospel. The village officials told the team not to go any further into the village. They wanted the filters, but not the gospel. The team was mocked and threatened by the local witch doctors. At one point a crowd had gathered and pressed into the team. It quickly became a dangerous situation but, not being deterred, the team turned and walked towards the lake, the main source of water for that village. A few children followed them. Once at the lake about 5 people were fishing. The Mercy Water filters were used to clean the lake water. Team members drank the cleaned filtered lake water and the fishermen were amazed! Soon a crowd formed and in the end 30 people had gathered and 17 accepted Christ, even after mocking the team!! This reminded us so much of Jesus and how he reached people. At yet another village 2 teenagers accepted the Lord. They had never heard of this Jesus, and they wanted to know more! All who made a commitment were plugged into a local pastor for follow up. The Mercy Waters filters bridged the gap to open doors and break down walls! The area that was served was near the “Gate of No Return”. The Genesis of slavery. This is the gate at the oceanfront where families were separated and put on boats to be shipped to different countries as slaves. These people are still slaves. Not in the sense of physical slavery. But in spiritual slavery to voodoo and Satan. The President of Benin had spent millions of dollars on a voodoo temple right at the Gate of No Return. The team preached here about spiritual bo***ge and!! 147 People were born again!!! What a day of rejoicing!!! We are so honored and feel great privilege in being part of Kingdom building in Benin. We had the joy of making a quick trip into Greece/Crete in September. Crete is physically in the 10/40 window but is more recently not considered a priority country of groups of unreached people. However, the need for spreading the gospel is still great. We did street evangelism and used a different type of water filter for this trip. This Mercy Water filter fits directly onto the tap. It is compact and geared more towards individual families. In Crete, water is not safe to drink. Since it is a volcanic island, they cannot bury water lines. All water lines are plastic and sit above ground just beside the road. The plastic lines sit in the heat all day long. (As seen in last 3 photos) The sunlight’s UV rays can degrade the plastic, contributing to the release of microplastics, chemicals, and bacteria growth which leads to many health issues. In many ways Crete is a 3rd world country if you are not in a tourist area. We prayed, walking in the streets. Prayed over houses on our way. We spoke with people in their yards, at the dump, in the grocery stores. It was an amazing experience to meet people in their everyday lives. Everyone was open and willing to hear the gospel message of the living water, and everyone accepted our prayer over them. The Greek people were kind and inviting. It was a quick trip but a meaningful one. We continue to pray for those we met and started relationships with, and we hope to return to continue the work that has begun.

In October, we were able to partner with Wildwood Church and distribute water filters and share the gospel in Thoet Thai
Mae Fa Luang District
Thailand! It was an exciting time to meet the locals. Clean water access is a concern in Mae Fa Luang District, with recent reports of contamination in nearby rivers like the Kok River, possibly due to mining waste. While some areas have access to treated tap water (often with home filters) or bottled water, many locals rely on mountain water supplies, wells, and commercial bottled water for drinking, which are also subject to varying quality levels. The main issue is the risk of surface and groundwater contamination from various sources, including industrial and agricultural pollutants. There are urgent concerns about clean water supply in the region following the contamination of the Kok River, which flows into the Mae Fa Luang District. This is a serious issue for drinking and irrigation. Pollution from rare earth mining is suspected to be the cause of the contamination in the Kok River.
Communities in the area are directly affected, and local authorities have been ordered to find alternative clean water sources to replace those that have been contaminated. It was a privilege to serve this community and the Gospel of Jesus Christ was preached by using the filters!

This is not a political post. Mercy Waters will go into any country to share the gospel of Jesus Christ using our water filters to supply a physical need and a spiritual need. The devastating impact of the war on the Ukrainian population, including displacement, casualties, widespread human suffering and destruction of infrastructure, necessitates humanitarian assistance. What better way to share God's love and His gospel? Jesus paid too high a price. All deserve salvation. Recently, Mike traveled half way around the world to meet with our Ukrainian contact. In addition to our Mercy Waters water filters, we have added Bible verse labels in both English and Ukrainian. For as long as the water filters are in use, the labels are a constant reminder of Gods love and His promise of ever lasting life. Many civilian and military were blessed by the Mercy Waters individual water filters and heard the gospel. Once again, thank you for your support! Together we are reaching the world! ***A special shout out to Dan Neilsen for the logistics and Vidar Regiment for their bravery in transporting Mercy Waters water filters into dangerous zones!

Another wonderful trip was put in the books! This time Mercy Waters served in the province of Villa Clara, Cuba! We apologize if you consider the pictures vague, but it was necessary to protect the team members and the communities they served. Steve led the water filter team. He was a great leader and we look forward to serving with him again. They were able to reach many and as we know it, five souls were saved! We rejoice in the good news!

Mercy Waters has been very busy these past few months! In March we had a small team minister in Guatemala. The main focus of this trip was women and children. We were able to reach people in Tzununa, Panajachel and San Pablo Atitlan. Something we have added, when possible, is to give a Bible in their language as well as the Mercy Waters water filter system. Thereby we provide the Gospel of living water, clean water and give them God's word for their daily thirst. It truly is a blessing to be able to serve in these other countries. We thank you for your continued support to enable us to do so.

This New Years Eve we reflect on 2024 and all the Lord has done! We were able to provide Mercy Waters water filters and the Gospel of Jesus Christ to Liberia, two different trips into Guatemala, Ukraine, Thailand, and the flood victims in North Carolina. What a privilege to serve our Lord! As we embark on 2025, may our New Years resolution be to work hard to further the kingdom and boldly share the gospel in our backyard and around the world! May you have peace, health and experience God's love in a deeper more meaningful way in 2025! Happy New Year!
