🌟 Student Spotlight: Jae'cyn Starr

Jae'cyn is turning her passion for helping others into a future of service. As a member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe and a first-generation college student, she's studying nursing with one goal in mind: returning home to care for her community.

Thanks to a scholarship from the American Indian Education Fund® (AIEF), along with a care package filled with essentials, Jae'cyn has been able to focus on her education instead of financial stress.

"The package made me feel really important. Having help made it easier and made me not have to worry about money in the future and right now."

After graduation, Jae'cyn hopes to work at her Tribal hospital and eventually provide home healthcare for Elders and others who have difficulty accessing medical care.

Because of generous supporters, students like Jae'cyn are gaining the education they need to return home, strengthen Native communities, and create lasting change. 💙
