The American Indian Education Fund (AIEF), formerly American Indian Education Foundation, is a program of Partnership With Native Americans (PWNA).

At the American Indian Education Fund (AIEF) we provide essential learning materials to Native American students in need of all ages through the School Supplies service. We enable Native American students to attend colleges or technical schools nationwide by offering several Scholarship services. In addition, we offer a free guidebook available to students: Tools for Success — A Guide for High School Seniors, Families, Counselors and others… *

We help college students stay in school through the Emergency Funds service, which enables post-secondary schools to provide one-time assistance to students facing financial difficulties. We offer small grants through the Tools of the Trade service to vocational/technical schools so they can provide professional supplies to Native American students who may otherwise be unable to afford them.

Happy Indigenous Peoples' Day from all of us at Partnership with Native Americans!
Corn, beans, squash, tomatoes, chili peppers, cacao, maple syrup — so many of the ingredients that define American and world cuisine today were cultivated, perfected, and passed down by Native communities thousands of years before 1776. These weren't just crops. They were knowledge, ceremony, and responsibility, carried forward generation after generation.

Virginia Weinstock Health & Education Development Scholarship is intended to support individuals currently working in the Education, Medical, and Healthcare fields who are seeking additional education, training, or credentials for professional development or career advancement, while working in or planning to work within the Navajo, Hopi, Zuni, and Tewa-speaking communities.

Today is North Texas Giving Day, and we’re raising $5,000 to support Native students through the American Indian Education Fund (AIEF) program of Partnership With Native Americans.

Sampson Dewey’s story demonstrates why this investment matters.

Sampson is a former AIEF scholarship recipient who pursued higher education and now works at PWNA. His experience reflects the potential of investing in Native students, not only helping them reach their educational goals but creating opportunities for them to contribute their knowledge and experience in their communities and beyond.

Yet significant educational disparities remain. Only 16% of Native Americans earn a college degree, compared with 40% of White Americans.

A scholarship can help bridge part of that gap by easing the financial burden of higher education and helping students stay focused on their goals.
