I would like to say THANK YOU to all the councils in the Western for being the top region in paying dues to the National RC&D Association & the top region in responding to the NARCDC survey ! I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas ( or holiday of choice ) and hope to see many of you in Idaho in 2017 for the Western conference :)

Who's going to Reno for the National RC&D Conference from July 10-12, 2016 ? Early registration has been extended until June 1 and lodging at the Silver Legacy Resort Casino Reno is a very affordable ! Rulon Gardner, son of Western co-founder, Reed Gardner, will be a speaker at the conference and tells a wonderful story on never giving up :)

We had a very productive NARC&DC Board meeting this past weekend in Washington, DC ! I would like to thank George Swentik, Mark Hews, Lisa Rixen, Howard Coffield & Peter Kea for all their work on the Governance Committee questionnaire and for all the volunteers from the RC&D regions who participated over the last 6 months to make this a valuable tool for improvement. I look forward to hearing from our members and look forward to seeing you all in Reno, NV at the NARC&DC Conference to be held from July,10-12, 2016 :) Joe Leichtnam - President
