The week of February 18–26 is the first recess of the 115th Congress—time specifically set aside for members of Congress to meet with constituents and get the pulse of the communities they represent.  This is the perfect time to raise our voices. We will show up at our elected offic...

The Senate Committee on Homeland Security is taking calls about Bannon's appointment to the NSC. You can call: 202-224-4751. Leave a voicemail. Be kind. Please spread the word by cutting and pasting.

Activists and lawmakers say a phone call can have more weight and be harder to ignore than an email or social media post.

It's no secret, I'm not a fan:

The Betsy DeVos confirmation vote was delayed due to the congressional ethics review revealing that she has 102 major conflicts of interest, including financial stake in for-profit education that she has declined to disentangle herself from.
IF JUST THREE REPUBLICAN SENATORS VOTE NO for DeVos, she won't be confirmed. You can call your senator wherever you live. But apparently these folks are of primary interest to contact:
Susan Collins (ME) 207.622.8414..&..202.224.2523
Lamar Alexander (TN) 615.736.5129..&..202.224.4944
Lisa Murkowski (AK) 907.586.7277..&..202.224.6665
Johnny Isakson (GA) 770.661.0999..&..202.224.3643
Orrin Hatch (UT) 801.524.4380..&..202.224.5251
Richard Burr (NC) 336.631.5125..&..202.224.3154..&.. 910.251.1058..&..828.350.2437
Michael Enzi (WY) 202.224.3424
Dr. Bill Cassidy (LA) 202.224.5824
Pat Roberts (KS) 202.224.4774
Tim Scott (SC) 202.224.6121
Rand Paul (KY) 202.224.4343

Teachers across the country will be wearing red Wednesday to stand up for public education and against Betsy Devos. She's President-elect Donald Trump's cabinet pick for the Secretary of Education.

Got this off of a friend's page:
For those worried about the imminent repeal of the ACA -- I called Senator Warren's office. The woman I spoke to said they are being flooded with calls, as are the offices of Speakers Ryan and McConnell.
Senator Warren's staff member told me what would help the most would be to call the five Republican senators who have broken away from the GOP to demand a slow down of the repeal. Tell them how much you appreciate their efforts to stop the train wreck and share your story.

They need to hear from us...
