I don't know about you, but to me, Wilbur is one of the cutest critters roaming the land out here! He has a face only a mother could love, gets offended by absolutely everything and anything, values his private time more than comfort and food, and just makes me smile every time I see him do one of his strange Willie-things.
I know he loves me somewhere deep, deep, deep inside, but he definitely keeps the lid on tight! 🤣🥰

Everybody enjoys access to water or a wallow during these hot days.
Did you know that pigs don't have sweat glands? The only way they can cool their bodies down in the heat is by laying in the water or mud. We make sure that everybody has access to water so that they can stay comfortable.

Mina is keeping her lady bits in right now, so she is allowed to enjoy some freedom without the dreaded harness! She is so much happier without it. However, we've been down this road several times now (can you believe that this has been going on since April 1st?!?) and we're definitely keeping the harness ready in case she decides to flash the world again. 🤣

Wednesday night I remember thinking to myself that I really should get some fresh produce for the pigs. However, our finances are a little tight right now and we are trying to buy only what's absolutely necessary.
Imagine my surprise and delight when my friend Jessica Green reached out to me Thursday morning asking if we could use some apples and cherries! Apparently, a semi filled with fruit had crashed and most of the produce was now at the clean up location, destined to go to waste. Jess had found out about it and thought of our critters. ❤️
As you can see, we will have fruits for a couple of weeks if not longer, and our pigs (and sheep, and fowl) looooooove this refreshing addition to their diet!

We are so excited for this afternoon! Come play Rally with us at Canine Collective or come see what it's all about.
We plan on starting with Master level at 4:30pm and will follow it with Novice at 5pm, Intermediate/Advanced at 5:30pm and Excellent at 6pm.

Thank you all for coming to the Rally Drop-In at Canine Collective last night! We had a lovely time and your entries helps us provide ongoing care to our residents. Plus, you all were rockstars, I enjoyed watching everybody doing so well.
We hope to see everybody again next week! 🥰
