We’re excited to share that earlier this month, our Kiwanis group welcomed three new members! 🎉 We’re so glad to have them join us as we continue serving and supporting our community together.

If you’ve ever been curious about what Kiwanis is all about or how you can get involved, we’d love to meet you! Join us for our monthly social tonight from 5–7 PM at Puerta Vallarta. It’s a great chance to connect, ask questions, and see what we’re all about—no pressure, just good conversation.

Last week our Kiwanis Club had the privilege of partnering with the Rapid City Area Schools McKinney-Vento program for our favorite signature project- helping local kids start the season with brand new shoes and socks.

Thanks to the generosity of the Gwendolyn Stearns Foundation, more than 80 children’s and young people experiencing housing insecurity were able to pick out new shoes that fit and help them feel confident at school and in every day life.

We are also grateful for the helping hands from the Aktion Club from Black Hills Works, whose members purchased socks to hand out and volunteered their time to make the event welcoming and fun.

It’s amazing what can happen when our community comes together to support young people. Thank you to everyone that helped make this project possible!

If you are interested in joining a dynamic group of individuals dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of children in our communities, consider exploring Kiwanis. Our meetings are held on the second Friday of each month at noon at Black Hills Community Bank. Our next meeting is scheduled for February 13th. If you are interested, please attend and learn more.
