🫘 Labor Day weekend is coming up - which means we'll be hosting another Beans & Carabiners 🫘 Make a chili, bean dip, or maybe some cowboy caviar and hang with us on Saturday the 5th.

We will not be providing ropes, so bring a buddy or come meet a fellow coalition member & get climbing!

SPEARFISH CANYON PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD:

SDDOT’s proposed reconstruction of U.S. Highway 85 (Wyoming border to Cheyenne Crossing) could directly impact Icebox Canyon and surrounding climbing access, parking pullouts, and the pristine Spearfish Creek watershed.

The public comment period has been extended to Friday, SEPT. 4!

HOW TO HELP:
1️⃣ Review project plans at dot.sd.gov/ushighway85towy

2️⃣ Email your comments to SDDOT Project Manager Mark Malone ([email protected])

3️⃣ Ask for no build/redesign, low-impact corridor designs, sediment protection for Spearfish Creek, and preservation of roadside climbing access!

ATTENTION CLIMBERS: Custer State Park's concessionaire is not allowing us to utilize the VIP lot or road leading to VIP for parking this year. We've been directed to Sylvan Lake Lodge parking lot just above the VIP area. We want to maintain a good relationship with CSP, so please respect their decision. Walking from the lot through VIP is OK. Carpooling is encouraged - it's great for the planet, too :) Thank you for understanding.
