As we have our last Friday before classes start Monday, we need to shout out our amazing band students. This morning the Drumline performed at the District In-Service to help kick off the year for all staff members. Then this afternoon we had another cool-90’s marching rehearsal as we get ready for our first game next week. While a lot of students are anxious for their first day back at school, these band kids have been at it for 2 weeks already. If you see a band kid…make sure to tell them how appreciated they are, and make sure they are staying hydrated.

Great final day in Munich. We toured the brilliant Nymphenburg Palace and Gardens, had some individual lunch excursions, performed at the powerful St. Rupert’s Cathedral (10+ second echo), and had a feast of a German farewell dinner. Now a couple of hours of sleep, then off to the airport at 4:30 a.m. We have all had an amazing trip (more reflection later), with some amazing people from KI Travels, but we are ready to see our family and sleep in our own bed. America, we’ll be back soon.
