If your church is outgrowing your space ⬇️

Praise God!
But ➡️ Just because your church is growing numerically and running out of space doesn’t mean the next step has to be spending millions on a bigger building.

💡 Another option for growing churches: send people out.
✳️ Plant a church.
✳️ Replant a struggling church.
✳️ Give away leaders, people, and resources for the sake of the kingdom.

🔥 And then….by God’s grace, do it again. And again. And again.

📈 Growth doesn’t always have to mean building bigger…sometimes it can and should mean sending more.

God is at work in the South Valley Baptist Association! Over the past few days, we have had the chance to meet many pastors and their wives in the Fargo area. This morning we worshiped with John and Abby Fisher at Journey Church, met their children, and became acquainted with many of their members. What a blessing! -- This evening we attended the South Valley Baptist Association. Wow! It was great to hear reports of what God is doing in our churches (Living Hope, Northland, Journey, Langdon Baptist, and Dusty Way Chapel). Fargo is a special place with special people. - It's a good time to be a Dakota Baptist!

At the 2026 Dakota Baptist Convention annual meeting last week, the messengers affirmed with a hearty "amen" a new direction and strategy, including a new vision and mission statement, as well as four new co-vocational positions. We are excited about having these men added to the DBC staff! Will you join me in praying for them as they continue to serve and advance God's Kingdom by assisting local churches in the Dakotas?

This is one of the great things that happens when Dakota Baptists give to the Cooperative Program! We respond to crises and disasters worldwide. We are a part of a large, caring family and our reach extends all over the world from right here in the Dakotas.

The 2026 Dakota Baptist Convention was a powerful time of encouragement and growth!

Church leaders from across the Dakotas gathered with one shared heart: to fill our region with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea (Hab. 2:14).

This year’s conference drove discipleship across our region by connecting key ministry efforts.

💡 Leader Equipping: A powerful one-day Send Network kickoff event to build up our church leaders.
✝️ Biblical Teaching: Impactful messages from guest speakers across the country.
✅ Focused Mission: Staying anchored through intentional prayer, a commitment to caring for our youth, and strong community.

Thank you to everyone who joined us! We can’t wait to see how God continues to work through each of you in your local churches and communities. 🙌

It’s less than 12 hours before Dakota Baptists wake up in Fargo, ND and rally around the Great Commission. Fargo is an amazing city and we are blessed to have our 2026 annual meeting here. Fargo and Moorhead, MN are twin cities with a combined population of 250,000 people. We have some great churches here and there is room for more!
