We are honored to co-sponsor the SDPB Women in Uniform documentary alongside Tactical Rehabilitation. Last night we enjoyed the screening party at the VFW Post 1273.

This powerful documentary shines a light on the experiences, service, and sacrifices of women who have served in our nation's military. We appreciated the opportunity to gather with veterans, community members, and supporters to recognize these remarkable stories and the lasting impact of military service.

A special thank you to Tim, the documentary producer, for bringing these important stories to life.

We're proud of our military roots and remain committed to supporting those who have served our country.

We've got good food, cold drinks, friendly faces, and absolutely zero requirements other than showing up hungry.

🥐 Tuesday – Chicken Salad Croissant | $10 Homemade chicken salad piled onto a buttery croissant and served with our house chips. It's light, fresh, and somehow still manages to disappear faster than your New Year's resolutions.

🍖 Wednesday – Smoked Ribs | $15 Tender, smoky ribs served with potato salad and baked beans. No fancy descriptions needed. Just bring extra napkins.

🥩 Thursday – Prime Rib Night | $20 Starting at 5 PM. Hand-cut prime rib served with a baked potato and side salad. The special that has people checking their calendars to make sure it's Thursday.

🎣 Friday – Walleye Dinner | $16 Served 11 AM–2 PM and 5 PM–7 PM. Golden-fried walleye served with fries and coleslaw. It's Friday in South Dakota. Some traditions are worth keeping.

🇺🇸 Happy Birthday to the U.S. Army! 🇺🇸

251 years ago, someone looked around and said:

"You know what this revolution needs? More Army."

And America has been running with that idea ever since.

From muskets to drones, from powdered wigs to high-and-tights, Army Soldiers have been proving for 251 years that carrying heavy things long distances while being told "we'll be there in 5 more minutes" is a special kind of talent.

Today we celebrate every Soldier who has:
✅ Walked farther than the map said.
✅ Carried equipment that somehow got heavier overnight.
✅ Survived PowerPoint presentations that lasted longer than some military campaigns.
✅ Heard "hurry up and wait" and knew exactly what that meant.

In all seriousness, thank you to every Soldier past and present for your service, sacrifice, and dedication to our nation.
Now go enjoy a piece of birthday cake. You've earned it.

P.S. The Army is now officially old enough that some of its first veterans probably complained that the new uniforms weren't as good as the old ones. Some things never change. 😆🇺🇸
