The answer is YES!

We're OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. No membership required. No secret handshake. No awkward questions at the door.

Just great food, cold drinks, and some of the best comfort food in town.

🌶️ Tuesday – Hand-Breaded Buffalo Chicken Sandwich | $14 Crispy, hand-breaded chicken tossed in buffalo sauce and served with golden tater tots. Warning: may cause spontaneous happy dances.

🍗 Wednesday – Chicken Fried Chicken | $14 A comfort food masterpiece served with creamy mashed potatoes and country gravy. Because sometimes the best therapy comes on a plate.

🥩 Thursday – Prime Rib Night | $20 Starting at 5 PM. Hand-cut prime rib served with a baked potato and side salad. The reason many people know exactly where they're eating on Thursday.

🎣 Friday – Walleye Dinner | $16 Served 11 AM–2 PM and 5 PM–7 PM. Golden fried walleye served with fries and coleslaw. A South Dakota tradition done right.

A Birthday on the Black Hills Party Pedaler

🇺🇸 June 6, 1944 – D-Day 🇺🇸

Somewhere, a young American looked across the English Channel and thought, "This is probably not how I expected today to go."

Yet when the moment came, they climbed into landing craft, flew through anti-aircraft fire, parachuted into the dark, and charged onto beaches defended by an enemy determined to stop them. They were farmers, mechanics, teachers, students, and laborers. They were ordinary Americans asked to do something extraordinary.

Today, we remember the more than 156,000 Allied troops who took part in the Normandy invasion and the thousands who never made it home. Their courage on June 6, 1944, helped change the course of history and paved the way for the freedoms we enjoy today.

A little humor seems fitting because many of those Greatest Generation veterans were known for their wit and humility. If you asked them how they helped save the world, many would probably shrug and say, "I was just doing my job."

What a job it was.

At VFW Post 1273, we honor those heroes not just for what they accomplished, but for the example they left behind: courage in the face of fear, service before self, and a commitment to something greater than themselves.

Today, take a moment to remember them. Freedom didn't arrive on those beaches by accident.

We stand on ground they made possible. We live in a nation they fought to preserve. We will never forget.
