There was an interesting article in the Rapid City Journal about 4-H. It will be interesting to see what kind of comments are written be the public.

Dog classes start June 2, 6-8 pm. Dog Show will be split into two evenings- July 12 & July 14. Rally and Obedience on one night and Agility and Showmanship the other night.

Just a heads up... the Leader's Association voted to have a 4-H Carnival in January. Date has not been officially set, but be thinking of ideas for your club's booth/game. Let the office know as soon as your club has made a decision.

Sunday is Respongsible Dog Ownership Day. Even if your are not in Dog project you can bring your dog and enjoy some of the fun activities. 1-5pm on Sunday

We've set our date for our 1st Junior Leaders meeting for the year. All 4-Hers 12+yrs are encouraged to join us on Oct 30 at 3:30pm. We'll sip on rootbeer floats as we plan activities especially for our junior leaders

We have some fun kid activities planned on Aug 23 from 2-4:30 in the courtyard behind the 4-H Building. Stop by and check it out. Call the office if you are interested in helping with face painting.

Would anyone be able to help from 12 -4pm on July 24? The National Guard will be having rock climbing, paintless paintball, and other activities for youth. They are looking for people to help at some of these stations. It is a drug prevention event. Sounds like it will be lots of fun! Stop by and check it out even if you can't help.

I want to inform you that we have been approached by Sheriff Don Holloway, who is also running for a county commissioner seat, to see if it would be possible to move the 24/7 drug rehabilitation program to the 4-H building. Please check your email for more information on this.

MAY 1 HORSE JUDGING & SAFETY TRAINING CANCELLED!!!! Sorry, about the short notice. Just told we won't be able to use the Heart Bar Arena afterall. Horse Judging and Saftey has been rescheduled for May 15th @ 10:30am
