Oaye Luta Okolakiciye

Oaye Luta Okolakiciye We are a Cultural Identity Development Non-profit Program reconnecting and healing through our Lakota Culture.

Oaye Luta Okolakiciye (Moving forward in a Sacred Way) is a non-profit cultural-based safehouse/crisis center and healing addiction program, reorganizing and in the process of providing cultural-based prevention, intervention and continuum of care services to Rapid City, SD., and surrounding Indian reservations. Oaye Luta will incorporate cultural values reconnecting cultural awareness and identit

y development. Oaye Luta Okolakiciye services also connect with Sakowin Tiospiye in Porcupine, SD. We are seeking funding for land, services, and operational cost. In addition, we are requesting contractual agreements to provide cultural therapeutic methods to those programs working with our Native American population. We recognize as Native Americans, we need to be consistent with our outreach to those deserving of cultural identity development that are caught up in a dysfunctional environment due to alcohol and drug addiction lifestyle, specifically for our youth and adults displaying conditioned behavior in the revolving door of the correctional system, behavioral health management, social services programs, domestic violence shelters, addiction treatment programs, and homeless shelters. This will never end until we step up and provide for our own. We are not in full service yet but keep in touch with the page, and we will update as Oaye Luta Okolakiciye progresses. Please direct any questions you may have regarding this page to me at (605) 391-6470, inbox, or email- [email protected]

Wopila,
