New penalties for fake service animals
Senate Bill 82 makes it a Class 2 misdemeanor to misrepresent an animal as a service animal. That means up to 30 days in jail, up to a $500 fine, or both. Senate Bill 81 clarifies protections against injuring or harassing legitimate service animals.

South Dakota state Senate unanimously passed legislation cracking down on fake service animals while protecting legitimate service dog teams.

It is currently 94° warmer than it was 9 days ago and 61° warmer than it was on Thursday. We are grateful for a warm week ahead for our 45th Annual Winter Event!

Packet pick-up is from 2 to 5 PM at the Mineral Palace. New folks watch for signs and volunteers to guide you to the correct area. For those who know, it’s in the same room as usual. Please bring your raffle tickets to turn in.

The Social is from 5 PM to 7 PM at the Mineral Palace hors d'oeuvres and drinks will be served inside the restaurant just outside the registration room. An open bar serving wine and draft beer will be available from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM. 

New participant/new guide/Volunteer orientation is at 7 PM at the Mineral Palace in the same room as packet pick-up.
