Located in the Black Hills of SD, we are a group of historical re-creationists who learn and craft with skills of times gone by.

We are all enthusiasts of history and what it can teach us about living a good life in today's modern, hectic world. Shire meetings are currently in person at the Hardee's on Haines Ave. near the mall on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:00 pm Mountain Time. We have a second meeting by Zoom on the third Tuesday of the month at 7 pm, with the Zoom link announced on our group page, here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/Schattentor. Archery practice is held 10:00 am to noon every Sunday (weather permitting) at SD Game, Fish and Parks' Outdoor Campus West on Sturgis Rd. in Rapid City with limited loaner equipment available. Fighter practice is held on Sundays starting at 2 pm and running until people are ready to quit. During the summer (weather permitting) it's held Founder's Park near the volley ball court and big cement fish (officially named Rapid Fish) on Omaha Street. During the winter it's held in the Fraser Gym on the School of Mines campus. Arts and Sciences activities are scheduled at the discretion of our A&S minister and are announced on our group page. We also have a Discord server, though it's not often used. Invite at:

Attention All Schattentorians

As some of you already know our usual meeting spot at the North Haines Hardees is no longer available due to the restaurant closing.

I was able to stop by the Hardees farther downtown on 5th st and it looked like they have a meeting space that we can use at our usual time of 6:00 PM on the first Tuesday of the month.

So henceforth unless I hear otherwise from the Hardees management we shall be moving the Monthly Business meeting to

Downtown Hardees

604 5th St Rapid City SD

1st Tuesday of every month

6:00 PM

Here is a picture of the meeting room.
