Thanks to Steve Hall, a retired hunter ed administrator from Texas and NBEF board member. Steve recently helped train dozens of bowhunter education instructors in Kansas. The training sessions were requested because of increased interest in more in-depth bowhunting knowledge. We love the increase in interest in our courses and are thankful for knowledgeable instructors like Steve!

We're proud to support the National Archery in the Schools Program. This year, we donated four special-edition Genesis bows to the Eastern and Western winning schools. We also donated scholarships to the winning team members at the NASP Championship Tournament. Additionally, throughout the school year, we donate thousands of scoring pencils and informational lane markers for tournaments.

Bob Barnette is NBEF's International Instructor of the Year.

Barnette is a lifelong hunter with a passion for bowhunting. He became hooked when his first bow harvest, which happened on his family's ranch, became his personal best whitetail buck.

Since 2017, he's been a hunter ed and bowhunter ed instructor, certifying hundreds of bowhunter students. He's the past president of the Texas Bowhunters Association and was the Texas Bowhunter Education Instructor of the Year in 2022.

Mathews supplied Barnette with a Mathews 2026 ARC bow, signed by Matt McPherson.
