Free Little Pantry at Open Heart Our Free Little Pantry is located in front of Open Heart UMC at 202 East Indiana Street, one block east of South Middle School. Delivery unavailable.

All are welcome here to donate or receive non-perishable food, diapers, wipes and other sanitary items.

Today at 4:15, there are a few bread items, snacks, oatmeal and a LOT of toothbrushes and toothpaste. Take what you need, leave what you can spare for others. Thankful for those who give in this way so other folks have an option when they need it, no questions asked.

Found these two cans of green beans that had been chucked in the church parking lot after school today. I’m sure whoever did it thought it would be fun to watch the cans explode. But they didn’t. The pantry itself was empty when we checked the same time as finding the evidence. These two cans may have been supper for someone. Yes we have cameras. Yes we will look. Yes we will follow up if we can. And this happens multiple times every month when school is in session. If you know any youth who walk by this or any free pantry before or after school, please remind them when they choose to destroy food they are taking it away from others.

You might not recognize our Free Little Pantry because it recently got a new coat of paint from a visiting youth group! It also had a couple of visits today from people dropping off all kinds of food: condiments and soups, beans, snacks, breads and more. We are thankful for the many people who share with others through this little cabinet on stilts at 202 E Indiana St., Rapid City, in front of Open Heart UMC. Love comes in many forms! 🍜🍝🥞🥧

Do you need Enfamil NeuroPro formula? We have three unopened boxes of 2 oz bottles plus five bottles good through Aug. 2026, plus two, 35.3 oz cans of powder good into 2027 and beyond. Additionally, two gift bags full of boy baby clothes for newborn to three months and a car seat. The only thing… they are from a home where there was cigarette smoke. Formula is sealed, should be fine. Clothing may come clean of scent with vinegar and baking soda. Must coordinate pickup at Open Heart UMC, 202 E. Indiana St., Rapid City. This is the second sweet note of thanks in the last couple of weeks that someone has left…In addition there were a lot of snacks, as you can see! 🤗 Someone dropped off another donation of things to add while I was typing this post.
