**You’re Invited to the Tuskegee Airmen Mural Unveiling!**
Join us as we celebrate with The African American Heritage Trail to honor the courage, service, excellence, and lasting legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and recognize Rantoul’s important place in their history through the former Chanute Field.

Created by multidisciplinary artist, Dwight White II, this powerful mural brings history into the present through public art centered on memory, identity, community, and place. Its unveiling is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and ensure that the contributions of African Americans remain an essential part of our nation’s story.
Special appreciation goes to:
⭐ **United Rentals**, Benjamin Bloomer, and James for donating the lifts used during the building preparation and mural installation
⭐ **United Fuel** and Chris Warner for donating the generator and fuel
⭐ **Sherwin-Williams** and Lucas Woolridge for providing the artist’s paint at a 50% discount
We also sincerely thank the Tuskegee Airmen Mural Project Committee, Champaign County African American Heritage Trail, 718 Real Estate, Cargo Plumbing, Village of Rantoul, Oesfreelancing Graphic Design, the families of Tuskegee Airmen, and the local families who provided power washers and other assistance in order for this mural to be possible.
