The Season of Giving Gift Drive start today!

From October 1 through November 29, donate new, unwrapped toys, pajamas, and books for ages 0–17.

Prefer to give online? A $50 gift can sponsor one child with a new toy, a pair of pajamas, and a book.

The H.O.Y.C.E. Center is giving 600 youth gifts on December 5, 2026.

Our hearts are heavy hearing of the passing of Mrs. Audrey Mock. She was a beacon of light to the community. Any everyone she could think of to help she did. She was a special friend, collaborator, supporter, and mentor to the HOYCE center helping us find communities to support in the drop of a dime and make sure all had what they needed. Mrs. Mock love and light will always be cherished and remembered in all that we do. Our prayers and support are with the family at this time and we will continue to pray as this is a tough time to endure.

We love you Momma Mock ❤️

❤️ History. Community. Pride. Legacy. ❤️

Today was a special day in Rantoul as we officially unveiled the Tuskegee Airmen Mural honoring the extraordinary men whose history is connected to Chanute Field and our community.

Our hope for this mural is that it would make our young people, and all of us, stop, look, and ask:

“Who were the Tuskegee Airmen, and what happened right here in Rantoul?”

When we become curious about our history, we begin to understand the significance of the community around us. And when we understand our history, we can develop a greater sense of connection and pride in where we come from.

Thank you to artist Dwight White II for bringing this mural to life and to Experience Champaign-Urbana, the Champaign County African American Heritage Trail, 40 North, the Tuskegee Airmen Mural Project Committee, the Village of Rantoul, and the families of Tuskegee Airmen who helped support this project.

A very special thank you to United Rentals, United Fuel, Sherwin-Williams, 718 Real Estate for commissioning The HOYC Center to be a part, Cargo Plumbing, and the many individuals and community members who contributed equipment, resources, time, property, ideas, and support to help make this possible.

This mural may be complete, but I hope the work is just beginning. There are so many stories still waiting to be told.

May we continue creating opportunities for our young people to see their history, ask questions, feel proud of their community, and understand the legacy that exists right here in Rantoul.

**You’re Invited to the Tuskegee Airmen Mural Unveiling!**

Join us as we celebrate with The African American Heritage Trail to honor the courage, service, excellence, and lasting legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen and recognize Rantoul’s important place in their history through the former Chanute Field.

📅 **Monday, August 31, 2026**
🕑 **2:00 p.m.**
📍 **707 Veterans Parkway, Rantoul, Illinois**

Created by multidisciplinary artist, Dwight White II, this powerful mural brings history into the present through public art centered on memory, identity, community, and place. Its unveiling is especially meaningful as we celebrate America’s 250th anniversary and ensure that the contributions of African Americans remain an essential part of our nation’s story.

Special appreciation goes to:

⭐ **United Rentals**, Benjamin Bloomer, and James for donating the lifts used during the building preparation and mural installation
⭐ **United Fuel** and Chris Warner for donating the generator and fuel
⭐ **Sherwin-Williams** and Lucas Woolridge for providing the artist’s paint at a 50% discount

We also sincerely thank the Tuskegee Airmen Mural Project Committee, Champaign County African American Heritage Trail, 718 Real Estate, Cargo Plumbing, Village of Rantoul, Oesfreelancing Graphic Design, the families of Tuskegee Airmen, and the local families who provided power washers and other assistance in order for this mural to be possible.

Every donation, connection, resource, and helping hand contributed to making this historic project possible.
