As of Monday, April 7th, I'm excited to share that I am currently ahead by 29 votes, holding 51% of the unofficial results! 🎉

Please remember that these results are not final yet, as mail-in ballots are still being received and counted. We expect the official results to be finalized by April 15th.

**Time is Running Out: Register to Vote Today**

Dear Fellow Rantoul Residents,

As we approach the upcoming election, I, Sam Hall, candidate for Rantoul Village President, want to emphasize the importance of making your voice heard. With my nonpartisan approach and commitment to the well-being of our community, I am dedicated to representing the interests of all Rantoul residents.

**Why Register to Vote?**

By registering to vote, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our village and hold elected officials accountable. As your Village President, I plan to focus on policies that benefit our community, including improving transparency, supporting small businesses, and enhancing public services.

**The Registration Process**

Registering to vote is a simple and straightforward process. To get started, follow these steps:

1. Check your eligibility: Make sure you are a U.S. citizen, at least 18 years old, and a resident of Rantoul.

2. Gather required documents: You will need a valid form of identification and proof of residency.

3. Register online or in-person: You can register to vote online at https://ova.elections.il.gov/Step0.aspx through the Illinois State Board of Elections website or in-person at your local election office. The League of Women Voters will be registering interested persons on February 28th in Rantoul. Contact me for the details.

4. Verify your registration: Once you have registered, double-check your status to ensure you are eligible to vote in the upcoming election.

Rantoul voters... save the date March 6th at 7 pm at the RCS building...Mayoral Candidate Forum hosted by the League of Women Voters.

Candidates will answer questions from both the League and the audience and will be allowed one minute to respond.

Audience questions will be written on index cards and read by the moderator.Questions will also be received from the public and League members via email.

I'll share details on how to send your questions. I would absolutely love it if we can fill the room with voter's.

Exciting News!

I’m thrilled to announce that I’m officially running for Village President (commonly known as Mayor) of Rantoul in the April 1, 2025 election! After serving nearly 8 years as a Village Trustee, I believe it's time to take the next step and lead our great community toward even more growth and opportunity.

I’m proud of the projects we’ve accomplished so far, especially those aimed at boosting economic growth and community development—and I’m committed to continuing this work as Village President. Together, we can make Rantoul an even better place to live, work, and thrive.

Over the coming months, I’ll be meeting with residents, hosting forums, and engaging in conversations to ensure your concerns and aspirations are at the forefront of my campaign. This is about building the future of Rantoul together, and I want to hear from YOU!
