π¨ A Message to All Riders, Visitors, and Outdoor Enthusiasts π¨
The Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Club has been made aware of several issues occurring on lands owned and managed by the Rangeley Lakes Heritage Trust (RLHT), including vandalism, littering, target shooting, illegal fire pits, and unauthorized camping.
These actions threaten the relationships and land access that so many of us enjoy. Recently, RLHT was forced to chain off the old sand pit area on Boy Scout Road due to ongoing problems, and the Rangeley River access point has also experienced significant litter and property damage.
While there is no indication that RLSC members are responsible, we all share a responsibility to be good stewards of the lands we use.
We ask everyone to please:
β
Pack out what you pack in
β
Leave No Trace
β
Respect private and conservation lands
β
Follow all posted rules and regulations
β
Report vandalism or suspicious activity when you see it
The partnerships between RLHT, RLSC, and other local organizations are critical to maintaining access to the trails, lands, and recreational opportunities we all value. Let's work together to ensure these special places remain open, accessible, and enjoyable for future generations.
Thank you for doing your part to protect the places we love. πΊπΈβοΈ
