We are so happy to finally see the pedestrian-activated flashing beacon up and running at the Main Street crosswalk by Kimball Public Library. Glad to have partnered with the Town on this important safety improvement.

I really like this concise explanation of traffic calming. We have quite a few streets in Randolph that could benefit from applying these techniques. Speeding continues to be a serious safety concern, especially on Main St. in the downtown and on neighborhood streets.

Sit on Main St. in downtown Randolph any afternoon and you will see plenty of behemoth trucks rolling through town. I know it is the American car manufacturers who are to blame for the ever larger truck. But we can do things locally to make our streets safer for people outside of these ginormous vehicles. And please, all drivers, slow down and pay attention. That means putting your phone down and taking your foot off the gas, especially in the downtown. The maximum speed limit is 25 MPH.
