This weekend, our student members are traveling to Washington, D.C., to perform as part of the Randolph High School Marching Band in the National Memorial Day Parade. Earlier this spring, we donated a portion of the proceeds from our Dinner Concert to support the trip. We’re so proud of them and excited to see RHS shine on a national stage. Music is truly thriving at all levels of our community. Go Blue Devils!

We are saddened to share that Andrew Butz recently passed away. Andrew was a founding member of the band who played clarinet. Like so many of our musicians, he developed his passion for music through the Randolph Public Schools (including playing in the RHS jazz and marching bands).

"Music was one of Andrew’s greatest joys and most meaningful gifts. ... From his school years onward, music remained a central part of his life, and he shared that passion generously with his church, his community, and all who heard him play," his family members recalled.

We are honored that his family has directed memorial contributions to us and The Randolph Music Boosters. Andrew will be deeply missed.

Ron Brenner has been an instrumental member of the band since its founding almost two decades ago. He has contributed in innumerable ways both musically and behind the scenes. Last month's Dinner Concert was Ron's last performance with us as he is moving out of state.

Thank you, Ron, for your dedication to our ensemble. We will miss you as a musician and a friend.

A special shout out to Gale Photography ( on Instagram) for capturing our performance so beautifully. He took all of these photos except for the percussion selfie.
