Put on the Ritz! Come join the Chandler Film Society on Sunday, February 21st to see Young Frankenstein, a hilarious movie featuring a great cast (Gene Wilder, Teri Garr, Marty Feldman, Cloris Leachman, Madeline Kahn, Peter Boyle) filled with one-liners that you or your parents probably bust out to this day.

As with our last offering, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, if you’ve never seen Young Frankenstein before you are in for a treat, and if it’s an old friend, come see it on a biggish screen with an audience who’ll laugh along with you at the hilarious campy comedy, actual set from the 1931 film of Frankenstein, and perhaps even sing along to the most memorable version of Puttin’ on the Ritz you’ll ever see. The American Film Institute rated Young Frankenstein #13 on its 100 Funniest American Movies list. Writer/Producer Mel Brook’s felt it was the finest movie he’d ever made.

Young Frankenstein is sponsored by Sharon Rives and Paul Kendall for the Chandler Film Society (thanks Sharon & Paul) Such sponsorship has resulted in our being able to be more sure of our budget for the year. Please feel free to suggest a film you’d like to sponsor for next season, which would help us to know what films YOU would like to see.

Our films show at 6:30 pm in Chandler’s Esther Mesh room, but come early for light snacks (popcorn!) and beverages and stay for Rick Winston’s informative commentary. Tickets are $9 at the door, $5 for Members and students (K-12 and VTC).

This year's Film Seminar with Rick Winston looks wonderful--you won't regret signing up, but hurry!

This months' Chandler Film Society selection is Mon Oncle, in which Tati’s character, Monsieur Hulot, finds himself unable to fit into the ultra-modern world, with humorous results. It’s Tati’s valentine to the Paris that he saw disappearing. 1958

Tickets are $9 at the door, $5 for Members and students (K-12 and VTC). Season memberships are available for $25 for an individual; $45 for a couple.

Please come and enjoy a little snack and beverage ~6:00 and stay for great Q&A by Rick Winston.

Please contact Tamara Morgan (728-9306) if you would like to sponsor a film in this year’s series. We have a couple of films (including this one!) still left to choose from.
