La Cima Leadership

La Cima Leadership La Cima exists to impart leadership and life skills to Latino youth. / La Cima existe para inspirar l

Our aim is to engage Latino youth through greater school involvement to decrease dropout rates for Latino youth, and promote greater acceptance of Latinos. La Cima is conducted in English and Spanish and promotes the bicultural, bilingual, and bi-literate experience of Latinos in America. Our goal is to assist Latino youth as they merge with the greater community while maintaining their cultural a

nd linguistic identity. La Cima increases self-esteem of participants and helps monolingual Spanish speakers connect with the greater local community. La Cima is held as a series of summits hosted in conference rooms, camps, and on college campuses. Delegates of La Cima return to their schools and communities better prepared to lead, to face the challenges that lie ahead, and to achieve their goals.
