Stitch and Chew Wednesday, February 4, 2026
AAUW members became part of America's 250 Anniversary adding their stitches to the America Tapestry.
They joined the Colonial West Jersey Chapter of the Embroider Guild of America for a collaboration.
The American's Tapestry is an interactive exhibit. AAUW members added their stitches to the design, honoring the colony's role in the fight for independence.
The state design features the many roles New Jersey women undertook during the Revolution, including raising a phenomenal $15,000 for the patriot cause.
Members of the Guild were available to assist AAUW members with their stiches on the tapestry.
