ASRF is a non-partisan and a-political entity working on both sides of the aisle.
Since 2023, the Afghan Scout Relief Fund has been active with Congressional Advocacy efforts on Capitol Hill to protect our students in the United States and allow more amazing Afghan women the opportunity to study and pursue an inspired future, a human right they are denied at home.
Our most recent effort since October 2025 alongside partner organizations consists of a letter to the State Department and Department of Homeland Security sponsored by Representative Don Bacon which requests a case by case exemption to Proclamation 10949. This would allow Afghan women to apply and be considered for student visas to the United States and for Optional Practical Training to be processed.
We are always looking for bi-partisan support and welcome any efforts to gain signatures on this important letter.
