Boy Scout High Adventure Troop 1210 has a few epic adventures planned for this late spring and early summer, the first of which was backpacking through one of the largest slot canyons in the world (Buckskin Gulch, Utah) and the neighboring Grand Gulch area. These trips are for our more experienced Scouts who have demonstrated the desire for outdoor adventure and the skills to care for themselves in the wilderness. If this sounds like something your 11-16 year old son would be interested in, contact us and visit one of our meetings sometime soon!

Our troop recently held its semi-annual rock climbing overnighter at Joshua Tree NP -- one of the true favorites among our scouts (thus the reason we do it twice every year). It's a great campsite with the climbing rocks next to it, great food (cooked by the SM and ASMs typically), and great weather too.

If you know a boy, age 11-16, who is interested in outdoor adventure and who lives in the south Orange County area, come visit Boy Scout High Adventure Troop 1210. We hold troop meetings twice a month (Mondays, 6-730pm) and we have high-adventure activities and other outdoor events at least once a month. We'd love to have you join us!

EAGLE SCOUT PEAK
100th ANNIVERSARY FIRST ASCENT
JULY 15, 1926-JULY 15, 2026

Noted Sierra historian Frances Farquhar and Eagle Scouts Frederick Armstrong, Eugene Howell and Coe Swift, all from Fresno, CA first climbed Eagle Scout Peak on July 15, 1926.

To commemorate the expedition and first ascent, the names Eagle Scout Peak and Eagle Scout Creek were placed on the fourth edition of the USGS “Teliphite” 30’ map in 1929. Currently, Eagle Scout Peak is on the “Triple Divide Peak” 15’ map.

Boy Scout High Adventure Troop 1210, St John’s Episcopal Church in Rancho Santa Margarita, plans to put a contingent of Scouts and Scouters on the summit of Eagle Scout Peak on July 15, 2026.

A commemorative medal is available to Scouts and Scouters who summit Eagle Scout Peak this and subsequent summers.

Some veterans rest beneath headstones without military insignia. This weekend at El Toro Memorial Park, our Scouts placed flags to make sure they’re seen and remembered. With gratitude—Happy Veterans Day.

We recently celebrated our 57th Court of Honor and, per tradition, showed a short video of just some of the troop's activities since our last CoH in May. We hope you enjoy it too! Come visit us and learn about how to join!😀
