The Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit charitable organization. The Foundation was incorporated in Florida in 1990 and is now headquartered in Rancho Santa Fe, CA

The Graves’ Disease & Thyroid Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) charitable organization, with oversight provided by an active Board of Directors. Our Board relies on “evidence-based medicine” to determine the Foundation

’s position on issues related to autoimmunity and thyroid disorders. Although we encourage members of our community to share their personal experiences here, references to treatment options that have not been specifically approved for Graves’ disease or Hashimoto’s thyroiditis will be removed. If you are thinking about trying a particular supplement, talk to your doctor first - some supplements can interact with specific medications and others can be toxic if taken in excessive doses. We welcome visitor posts that contain questions, feedback, or personal experiences from members of our community, as well as links of the following nature:
* Information from peer-reviewed medical journals or established medical organizations.
* Interviews with or web sites for established endocrinologists, ophthalmologists, oculoplastic surgeons, endocrine surgeons, etc..
* Personal success stories - as long as the information provided is medically accurate, contains no sales pitches, and refrains from giving medical advice. Links to all other websites will be removed. We strive to respond to all questions as quickly as possible; however, please note that Facebook not the fastest way to reach us. Questions received through the following additional channels are usually answered by the next business day. On rare occasions, response times might be slightly longer due to short-staffing or high volume. Phone/Fax: 877-643-3123
