Thursday’s pack meeting was filled with celebrations. We had Blue and Gold pizza party to celebrate Scouting, dispensing pins and loops for achieving adventures, and Bobcat ceremony for our newier Scouts. Webelos II had their Arrow of Light and bridging ceremonies. Troops 783 and 128 welcomed the Scouts into their new Troops. Heartfelt appreciation was given to den leaders, and outgoing Committee Members and Assistant Cub Master. Thanks to everyone for their time and commitment to PV Pack 128 and congratulations to our Scouts!

Family Ocean Fishing (Ages 7+)

Beginner-Intermediate ocean fishing meets dolphin & whale watching! Hop aboard the Dylan Ayres Pontoon Fishing boat! Exploring catch 3 miles off shore, learn which equipment to use for various kinds of fish and how to best rig your tackle. We provide everything including but not limited to the boat, fishing rod, tackle, bait and the expertise to guide you to a big catch! Dolphins and whales also tend to pop up in these areas, come explore with us!

Location: BSA Newport Sea Base, Newport, CA
Dates: This session runs from 9:00am-12:00pm on designated Saturdays Feb.-May 2024.

NOTE: Anglers age 16 and up must carry a valid California Fishing License

(Purchase online or at tackle shops; not available at Newport Sea Base).

Family Kayaking & Stand Up Paddle Boarding (Ages 7+)

Hit the water with a kayak, paddle board, or try our GIANT paddle board called the BEAST, a 15 person SUP! Learn proper technique for paddling and practice 4 different strokes; play fun on-the-water games with our instructors. Learn parts of the boat and paddle. Distance paddle to a local beach and potentially switch boats half-way with a friend to try both paddle crafts during your outing. Staff supervision provided for all; individual child sign ups and family (parent) sign ups all welcome.
