Did you know, nearly 40% of both s*x and labor trafficking victims in the US are initially trafficked by their intimate partner?

One of the most common recruitment techniques used by traffickers is to groom their victims by using love or the promise of a relationship. This could be romantic love, friendship, or even familial love. Traffickers use love as a way to manipulate their potential victims into cooperating in their own exploitation. Often, these complex relationships created make it difficult for survivors to leave their trafficking situation.
