Education funding is a vital part of keeping our communities thriving, growing places. Currently in CA, Prop 55 is set to expire in 2030 which would result in disastrous cuts for schools across the state.

CTA, CCFA, and CSEA are among those currently organizing to make sure an extension to this bill gets put on the November ballot.

If you are a registered voter and have not signed the petition yet, come out on Tuesday or Wednesday on the Rancho campus to put your name down and make sure the voters get a chance to keep this funding in place!

Our Rep Council sent 3 members to this year’s CTA Organizing Conference in Las Vegas to learn about how to build up our local.

Are you a member who wants to learn more about what’s going on in CCFA? Are you not yet a member and interested in finding out more?

Feel free to drop in to Math 111 on the Rancho Campus this Wednesday from 11a-1p for some pie (Apple or Pumpkin), pick up some giveaways (see photos below) and/or ask any questions about the Chaffey College Faculty Association (CCFA).

In addition, CCFA is supporting Panther Care’s ongoing food distribution program and the current Holiday board game drive so feel free to drop off unwrapped board games suitable for any range of ages and/or condiments, dry goods (rice, beans), and canned meats and fish to the event, and CCFA will make sure they get to the right place!

Part-Time Faculty are invited to participate in CCA’s monthly Part-Time Visioning Sessions to discuss topics important to PTF across the state. These sessions inform the work of your statewide union and can build bridges between locals.
