Many people go through life wondering, or not knowing, if there is a God in Heaven that loves them more than they could ever know. As a result, many never experience the joy of true acceptance, identity, and being empowered to do what God created them for. We are here as a church family to connect with our community and to share the message of hope and to help people realize, and become, all they were created to be.

In today’s message, Your Name Is On the Board, we’re reminded that God calls us accepted, chosen, and His long before we ever feel qualified. You’ll hear the story of a young man who crossed a river he was told never to cross, only to discover acceptance the moment he saw his name written on the classroom board. Just like that moment, Scripture shows us that God has already written our name down not because of our performance, but because of His love.

We’ll explore how God sees us in Ephesians 1, how He shapes us in Romans 8, and how He chooses us like He chose David in 1 Samuel 16. We’ll confront the “grasshopper thinking” of Numbers 13 and learn how faith grows as we hear and know the Word.

And we’ll be encouraged by a powerful sports story of how Michael Jordan didn’t make the board in high school, but refused to let rejection define him. Spiritually, we don’t fight for acceptance but we live from it. God says, “I have called you by your name; You are Mine.” (Isaiah 43:1)

The Eighth Day: New Beginnings...

Jesus born in a sukkah...
During Sukkot, families stayed in temporary shelters called sukkahs. Scripture timeline shows that’s when and where Jesus was born. His arrival wasn’t distant or polished; it was God choosing to come close to real people in real places.
Luke 2:7 And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
