Living Hope Counseling Center

Living Hope Counseling Center Therapy for individuals, couples, and families. We are a Christian based non-profit organization that offers affordable professional counseling.

Back in 2007, Yvonne Jackson had a dream of helping people. She had been a nurse for years and she would get a chance to talk with the patients. She was giving advice and praying with them. GOD put on her heart to go back to school and pursue a career in therapy. As she continue to go through school, she started to doing her internship at a counseling center that did not charge an arm and a leg. It was purely base on the patient's income. Her dream was becoming more clear as time went on. She wanted to open up a practice where she can do the same thing. Not only offering affordable counseling services but allowing students who want to go into the same field, a place to intern. On this page, you can check out the website and set up appointments to meet with her. If you are not in the Inland Empire area of California, we can even set up counseling by telehealth. We are not all about making money but helping guide you down the path of dealing with your issues.

💜 SCRIPTURE SUNDAY: POWER, LOVE, AND A SOUND MIND

This week, reflect on 2 Timothy 1:7—a reminder of the strength, love, and self-discipline God equips us with.

Feeling anxious does not mean your faith has failed. Courage can look like taking one small step, asking for support, or treating yourself with compassion.

You can trust God and receive professional support. Faith and caring for your mental health can work together.

What is one supportive step you can take this week?

Save this Scripture and share it with someone who needs encouragement.

💙 MENTAL HEALTH IS HEALTH.

On World Mental Health Day, we’re reminded that mental health deserves the same attention, dignity, and access to care as physical health.

At Living Hope Counseling Center, we join the call to increase awareness, reduce stigma, and make support easier to reach.

You don’t have to navigate what you’re carrying alone. Seeking support is a step toward caring for yourself.

💛 FREEDOM FRIDAY: RENEWING THE MIND TAKES PRACTICE

“be transformed by the renewing of your mind”
—Romans 12:2, NKJV (excerpt)

Faith and mental health treatment can work together.

Prayer and Scripture can be part of your journey alongside therapy, medication when prescribed, healthy routines, and practicing new responses.

This week, start with one small step:
✨ Notice a thought or reaction that keeps showing up.
✨ Reflect on a more balanced, truthful way to understand it.
✨ Choose one helpful response to practice.

You can seek God and seek support. You do not have to navigate this journey alone.

🩶 CHECK IN WITH YOUR MENTAL HEALTH

On National Depression Screening Day, we’re reminding you that checking in with yourself can be a first step toward support.

A screening is not a diagnosis, but it can help identify symptoms that deserve attention. If symptoms are persistent, worsening, or affecting daily life, reach out for professional support.

You don’t have to wait until things feel unmanageable to ask for help.

🌿 WELLNESS WEDNESDAY: A TWO-MINUTE CHECK-IN

Between responsibilities, conversations, and everything on your to-do list, take a moment to check in with yourself.

Pause. Notice. Name. Choose.

💚 PAUSE: Give yourself a moment and take a comfortable breath.

💙 NOTICE: What am I feeling? Where do I notice it in my body?

💚 NAME: Put words to your experience. What do I need right now—rest, space, reassurance, or connection?

💙 CHOOSE: What is one supportive action I can take next?

Your next step might be a brief break, a glass of water, a healthy boundary, or reaching out to someone you trust.

You do not have to solve everything right now. Start with where you are.

Swipe through, try this practice, and save it for later. 🌿

💙 MENTAL HEALTH MONDAY: TEACHERS NEED SUPPORT TOO

Teachers show up for more than lesson plans. They support students, navigate expectations, and carry academic, emotional, and relational demands every day.

On World Teachers’ Day, we honor our educators—and remind them that their mental health matters, too.

Burnout may look like exhaustion, feeling disconnected from work, irritability, or feeling ineffective despite your effort. You can care deeply about your students and still need support.

Start with one supportive step: protect a break, set a realistic stopping time, talk with someone you trust, or ask school leadership for workload support. Counseling can also offer space to explore what you’re carrying.

You support others. You deserve support, too. 💙

Swipe through, save this post, and share it with an educator who needs encouragement.

💙 SCRIPTURE SUNDAY: THE LORD IS NEAR

A heavy heart does not mean God is far away. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that He draws near to the brokenhearted.

You do not have to rush through grief or hide your feelings to demonstrate faith. Give yourself room to feel, pray honestly, and reach out to someone you trust. Faith and support can walk together.

This week, choose one supportive step: make time to rest, talk with a trusted friend, or seek counseling.

Save this Scripture and share it with someone who needs encouragement today. 💙
