Abuse hurts, no matter the type or source. It damages the soul of the individual and leaves one feeling vulnerable, worthless, and hopeless.

Stop leaving your kids with them.

Stop leaving your children with your boyfriends you barely know.

Stop letting your family members you don't entirely trust watch them because it's free.

If you have a gut feeling about someone that doesn't sit right with you when it comes to your child, cut all ties with this person.

If your little one comes to you and says I don't want to stay with a particular person .... do me a favor and listen to them.

God Hears Your Cry

“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.” Psalms 34:15 (KJV)

One evening, I arrived home and didn’t have the key to the door. Needless to say, my husband who I love, was inside sleeping like a rock. He didn’t hear me knocking on the door like the police. He didn’t hear me ringing the doorbell repeatedly. He didn’t hear me throw a bucket next to the window. That man was completely knocked out. So I yelled next to the bedroom window, “Baby, open the door!” Seconds later, there he was standing at the front door. I asked him, “You didn’t hear all of the noise I was making?” He said, “No!” “So what woke you up?” He said, “I heard your voice.” It is not our emotional fits, demands, tantrums, and pouting that gets God’s attention. His ears are attentive to our voice. One thing is for sure, God hears you and if you know He hears you, you know you have the petition you have asked of Him. His ears are attentive to your prayers and when you draw near to Him, He will draw near to you. Let God hear the cry of your heart, let God hear your voice!

Prayer: Father God, thank You for watching over me and being so attentive to my prayers. You hear my voice and You draw close to me when I draw close to You. When I face difficult situations in my life, help me to always stay reminded that You do hear me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

A Better Way to Live

“Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. [I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls.]Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls.” Matthew 11:28-29, Amplified

Early one morning I decided to make a quick run to the grocery store. I ran inside and picked up one of the baskets near the front entrance and began to shop. As I placed different items into the basket, I began to notice it getting heavier. I then picked up a large gallon of milk and glanced at the basket, wondering, “How am I going to carry this heavy load?” Just as I was about to figure out a way, a gentleman stopped me. He said, “You know ma’am, you don’t have to carry that basket like that.” I didn’t understand what he was saying until he walked over, pulled a lever from the side of my basket and suddenly transformed it into something that rolled on the floor! I laughed and thanked him for showing me a better way.

So many of us are walking through life carrying heavy loads God never intended for us to take on. Just when we figure out how to carry one burden, we add another one on top of it. We think to ourselves, “Lord, how am I going to bear all of these heavy loads?” Whatever it may be, God will do for you, through Christ, the same thing that nice gentleman did for me in that grocery store—He will show you a better way. Let Him lift every burden that is weighing you down and give you His wisdom and instructions that are light. Allow Jesus the opportunity to step in, transform your life and show you a better way to live!

Prayer: Father God, thank You for speaking to me. Help me. So many things are weighing on my heart and mind. Relieve me of this heavy load I’ve been carrying. Transform my life and show me a better way to live. In Jesus Name, Amen.
