Hope Through Housing Foundation

Hope Through Housing Foundation Inspiring Hope, presenting Opportunity, generating Prosperity and catalyzing Empowerment.

Hope through Housing Foundation is an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to break the cycle of generational poverty by advocating for policies and implementing programs that empower individuals and change communities. Working in affordable housing communities and regions throughout California, Arkansas, Florida, and Texas, we offer services, expertise, and coordination to inspire

Hope, present Opportunity, generate Prosperity, and catalyze Empowerment for individuals of all generations. Believing that both people and place matter in achieving community-wide well-being, Hope through Housing concentrates on direct services, partnerships, and other resources right in the neighborhoods that need them most. At the individual level, our goal is to see all people thrive—whether that means helping children do well in school, families improve their financial situation, or seniors age with dignity in their own homes. These individual successes add up, influencing the community’s quality of life and enabling real change in neighborhoods of poverty, crime, blight, and isolation. Besides direct service goals, Hope through Housing maintains an unwavering commitment to serving as a collaborative platform for greater collective investment and impact in these neighborhoods. We help co-locate other local service providers at affordable housing sites, as well as share expertise with the regional and national sectors. Working with our site residents, community neighbors, provider partners, municipal agencies, and regional coalitions, Hope through Housing has made partnership an integral part of our greater vision: “Together, we transform lives and communities.”

We first met glass artist Carlyn Ray in Texas and were inspired by how she brings people together through art.

That inspiration came to Rancho Cucamonga through two special events.

At Sunset Heights, 30 children living in one of our affordable housing communities designed fused-glass butterflies.

At Luminous Journey at d'Ellena Winery, our supporters created 70 more.

Together, those 100 butterflies will become a permanent installation at the newly reimagined Hyatt Regency Ontario Airport.

As the hotel undergoes its own transformation, this artwork ensures the people of our community are part of its story.

Each butterfly reflects the individual who created it.

Together, they tell a story not only about creativity, but about the people who call this community home.

We are grateful to Carlyn and everyone who helped bring this project to life.

As these butterflies find a permanent home at the Hyatt Regency Ontario Airport, they will serve as a reminder that the most meaningful transformations are shaped by the people around them.

Healthy communities begin with healthy families.

At our final Healthy Futures soccer camp of the summer, children took to the field in Upland – running drills, learning new skills and building confidence alongside the Empire Strykers .

While they played, parents and caregivers connected with community partners and explored resources focused on nutrition, mental health and overall well-being.

The day showed what Healthy Futures is all about: giving children a fun, welcoming place to be active while helping families discover practical ways to support healthier lives at home.

Thank you to the Empire Strykers and our community partners for making this summer possible.

Together, we’re helping more children grow up healthy, active and supported.

A paycheck can help someone get through today.

A career can help shape their future.

Workforce development is about creating pathways into careers that offer stability, growth and long-term opportunity.

Through CORE Academy, Hope through Housing provides hands-on training, mentorship and support in property management, property maintenance, hospitality, social media marketing and broadcast studio operations.

When people gain the skills and confidence to pursue a new career path, they're better positioned to build the future they want for themselves and their families.

That's why creating access to career development opportunities remains an important part of our work.

A stable career can create opportunities for a lifetime.

Workforce development is one of the most effective ways to help people build long-term stability.

Our approach focuses on preparing residents for careers in fields with ongoing demand and opportunities for growth.

Through CORE Academy, participants receive hands-on training, mentorship and support in property management, property maintenance, hospitality and marketing.

We walk alongside participants as they develop new skills, build confidence and take the next steps toward their career goals.

Sometimes, all a person needs is an opportunity and someone willing to open the door.

Healthy communities begin with healthy opportunities.

Recently in Rancho Cucamonga, 139 children participated in a soccer clinic with the Empire Strykers while parents accessed free health screenings and wellness resources through the Healthy Futures Initiative.

When families can access opportunities to stay active and care for their health close to home, entire communities benefit.

Thank you to the Empire Strykers, San Bernardino County Department of Public Health, Reyes Coca-Cola and our community partners for helping make these opportunities possible.

The quality of our service starts with the strength of our team.

Recently, Hope through Housing team members from California, Texas and Florida came together to reconnect, exchange ideas and strengthen relationships.

By bringing together team members from every part of the organization, we create opportunities to learn from one another and find new ways to better serve our residents.

When teams feel connected and supported, they collaborate more effectively, innovate more freely and deliver stronger outcomes for the children, families and seniors who rely on our programs.

Because investing in our people helps us create greater impact in our communities.

Affordable housing is home to people from all walks of life.

It's home to working families, seniors, veterans and children. It's where people build careers, raise families and create brighter futures.

At Hope Through Housing, we believe a stable home is where opportunity begins. Through education, workforce development, health and wellness programs and resident services, we're helping residents build brighter futures for themselves and their families.

When people have the support they need, they thrive.

A backpack filled with school supplies is more than a back-to-school gift.

For a child, it means walking into the classroom feeling confident, prepared and ready to learn alongside their classmates.

For a family, it means one less expense and more flexibility to put those dollars toward other essential needs.

At Villagio, 72 children received backpacks filled with school supplies thanks to the generosity of 2020 Vision Youth , Special Angels Foundation, Chase Banke and everyone who donated to make this event possible.

And we’re just getting started.

Over the next month, Hope Through Housing will continue providing backpacks and school supplies to children across our communities in the Inland Empire, San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles and Texas.

Last year, together we provided 2,577 backpacks.

This year, our goal is 3,000.

You can help us get there.

Donate a new backpack or school supplies and help more students start the school year ready to learn and succeed.

At Hope Through Housing, we believe a home is the foundation for something greater.

It's where children receive the support they need to succeed in school, parents gain skills to grow their careers, and seniors find opportunities to stay active and connected.

Our goal isn't simply to help people get by.

It's to help people thrive.

That's why we invest in people because stronger families create stronger communities.
