🎄🧶 Ugly sweaters, great company, and even better connections! 🧶🎄

We had a great time celebrating the season at the APWA Sacramento Young Professionals and YPT Sacramento Ugly Sweater Party. From creative sweaters to lively conversations, the night was a great reminder of what makes our YP community so special—strong connections, shared laughs, and meaningful relationships across organizations.

A big thank you to YPT Sacramento for partnering with us and helping make this such a fun and memorable evening. Thank you to everyone who joined us—and happy holidays! We’re looking forward to another year of collaboration and connection ahead.

☀Lace up your hiking boots, it’s time for our APWA YP Summer Hike! 🥾
📅 Saturday, August 23rd
⌚ 8:30AM – Meet at High Hand Brewing (carpool to Avery’s Pond Trailhead)
📍 Avery’s Pond to Mormon Ravine – Approx. 4.1 Miles
🐶 Dog Friendly Trail!
🚗 Parking @ Avery’s Pond is $12 (Poppy Passes are accepted!)

We will be hitting the trail in the morning and wrapping things up at High Hand Brewing in the afternoon. Tag your hiking coworkers to join us!

Thank you to everyone who joined us last week at Burning Barrel for our 2025 Summer Planning Mixer! 📅

We had a great evening catching up with familiar faces, welcoming new ones, and diving into plans for the second half of the year - including upcoming events and student engagement.

Join fellow young professionals from across the Sacramento region for a day of fun in the sun competing in the Great YP Games! This year’s games include Corn Hole, Giant Jenga, Kan Jam, volleyball and the return of the three legged race! Points will be awarded for each match won as your team advances through the bracket, and prizes will be given to the top 3 teams. At the YP Expert Session: Women in Public Works, Ashley Orsaba-Finders, Regina Duarte-Cave, and Helena Allison dropped some serious wisdom on never giving up on your dreams, advocating for yourself, knowing your worth, and never letting anyone talk over you.

The big takeaway? You can have it all—it just might take a little sacrifice and a lot of hard work. Huge thanks to our inspiring speakers for sharing their stories and to everyone who joined us at Kupros for this incredible evening of insight and empowerment!

The APWA Sacramento Young Professionals had an incredible night out! We kicked off our evening at Punch Bowl Social, then headed over to Golden 1 Center to watch the Sacramento Kings beat the Spurs. We cheered on the team as they defended their home court against former King De’Aaron Fox, and the energy in the arena was absolutely contagious.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and made the night unforgettable.
